#7 Cinq lieux incontournables et Meilleurs plans pour sortir à Bangkok

Today, I'm gonna talk about nice places where you can go to spend some good time (5 places and more!)! Be careful
, this article is made for travel and party lovers! :) It will be a little bit long, because there are lots of things to do in Thailand, everywhere, and it's hard to sum up my travels in few words. But I promise, you will travel once again with me, and you won't regret! Let's start guys! :D

Koh Larn

First of all, I would like to share my amazing experience with you. Actually, I had the occasion to travel all around Thailand to discover some secret and hidden places, where I caught some wonderful records. I will speak about my travels first, and then, places to be for party!

Water travel, Chiang Mai

In Thailand, the kindest thing to do is going on different islands. It's absolutely easy to travel in Thailand, and not expensive at all and you find islands everywhere. So I went to Koh Larn (40 minutes in boat from Pattaya), Koh Samet (2 hours from Pattaya in bus, then 40 minutes in boat), Koh Pangan (10 hours in train, then 2 hours in boat).

In general, it's touristic islands, so you have lots of foreigners, especially for Koh Pangan where I went to do the Full Moon Party, a very big party on the main beach, with more than 50000 guys enjoying and having fun! I highly recommand you to do at least one time this party because it's just unbelievable! You make some very nice meetings, and create contacts with other people. Everybody is happy to be there, and there are several musical atmopheres, you choose what you want to listen and what you want to dance on. Finally, everybody wait for the magical sunrise that make the party finished!

Beach Sunrise, Koh Pangan

Sunrise, Koh Pangan

Koh Samet is very nice too, because it's a little bit far away from Pattaya and Bangkok, so people are less motivated to travel up to this place. They prefer to go to Koh Larn, very accessible. You find on Koh Samet beaches of your dreams, you know the kind of beach with azure and transparent water, the kind of beach where you are alone, just you and your spirit, with fine and white sand. Let's let pictures speak !

In Koh Samet, I recommand you to go to Ao Wai beach if you want to be alone, on a indescribable beach, and there is also the Ao Prao beach, called also the "Coconut Beach". This beach is wonderful too, there are three luxury resorts so it's a little bit expensive to find an hotel there, but I had the occasion to go to this beach for snorkeling! You can rent tools for snorkeling at the price of 150 bahts (3€ for 1 hour) and you will not forget this experience!

After spending some good time on islands, you can visit temples or ride elephants, but it's unfortunate because temples lost their buddhist spirit, they became a tourist attraction, and about elephants, I red lots of articles, so I decided to "boycott" this. You have one example here.

BTS, BKK

Another place where you can be happy to be in is Bangkok (BKK). What an amazing capital!
It's simple, you can spend a weekend in BKK for shopping, visiting, hanging out with friends and many other things. You'll have time to respect this program if you are well organized.

You have to know that BKK is one of the most busy city in the world because of the traffic. But you have different ways to avoid that. You have the BTS and the MRT, the first one is a skytrain, during the Sukhumvit and it harms all the center of BKK, and the second one is a subway. The price is reasonable for a foreigner but a little expensive for thaï people. The other way is the taxi, not so much expensive, but with the traffic, you have to take a bit more time to travel on the city.

For shopping, I recommand first the Platinium shopping center. For me, it's the best one because prices are not high and you can negociate easily the price! You'll find all kind of tresors! Fashion clothes and original gifts for your family are collected in more than 2000 shops! Enjoy :)

ECE, even on the password :)

You have on the same spirit the MBK Center, it's almost the same thing than the Platinium but prices are a little higher and negociations are not appreciated by everybody :( Nevertheless, you find some special things to buy! :) I love the Terminal 21 too, because it's a giant fashion mall and you can find beautiful clothes for a small price.

There are lost of places that you can visit in BKK but I will speak about the most original one. It's Kao San Road, it's a night market and you can find all types of products. You can go shopping there, but you can find stands where they suggest you making false identity papers. That's quite hilarious! :)
And you have other stands where you can buy special food. I will not tell you more about that, I invite you to see pictures :)

I will finish this article with places where you can go out in BKK. First, you have the RCA. It's an open place, with an outdoor part, very nice, and an indoor place, more classical. And you have three or four nightclubs, and the best one is Route 66.

The music is cool, people are open-minded and you meet sweet and educated thai people especially. It's a pleasure to be there because you feel like a student atmosphere, it's different from usual because sometimes, I really feel uncomfortable, I don't feel abroad, lots of tourists everywhere.
That remind me that I travelled also in North of Thailand, in Chiang Mai, and that was the first time that I feel alone in Thailand, because I was surrounded by only thai people, and Chiang Mai is very popular, but at this period (Start of March), I didn't meet lots of foreigners.

Chiang Mai, North Thailand
You can go to the Glow too, it's a classic nightclub. This one is more european, so you can find french guys, guys from Germany, Spain, Australia too. The music is close to what we cann hear in France for example. The entry fee is a bit high than usual (500 bahts = 12€), but you will spend a very great moment, that's right!

After hanging out, you can finally go, with your friends, to have a massage! Best massages I ever had in BKK, I tried the Foot Massage and the Oil Massage, excellent ones! I just have some regrets because I needed more time to try the Thaï Massage, a very hard one but relaxing :)
